NOVEMBER 11 CREDIT SCORING SEMINAR
|
Tuesday's seminar on Credit Scoring has received an outstanding response. If you are pre-registered, arrive early to sign in. The seminar starts promptly at 1:00 PM and registration will be open at Noon. You cannot receive credit for the class if you arrive late.
Bear in mind that lunch will NOT be provided. However, if you are attending the seminar, you are welcome to attend our dinner meeting at no charge.

Our November 11 Chapter Meeting with Jackie Free will be heavily attended. We have received nearly twice the usual number of reservations. If you are planning to attend this meeting, arrive early. To accommodate our members and guests we have revised the evening's schedule as follows:

NAMB PRESIDENT REPORTS TO CONGRESS ON PREVENTING ABUSIVE LENDING

A.W. Pickel, President of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, testified before the House Financial Services Subcommittees on Housing and Financial Institutions in a joint hearing last Wednesday, November 5. The hearing was entitled "Protecting Homeowners: Preventing Abusive Lending While Preserving Access to Credit."

FEENEY EYES GOVERNMENT WASTE

In July, three freshman House lawmakers announced the "Washington Waste Watchers." One of those was Representative Tom Feeney FL (24) from Central Florida. The group is dedicated to combating government waste, fraud and abuse.
