CONTINUING EDUCATION PRIOR TO TRADESHOW

You probably know that continuing education is required of all licensed mortgage brokers, but did you know that if you are unlicensed and work for a correspondent lender or a mortgage lender you still must have 14 hours of continuing education by August 31 of this year?

Don't stay up late in front of a workbook while watching Leno! Take advantage of FAMB's quality courses and the expertise of FAMB Instructors. Get 7 hours of required education on May 7.

CONGRESS HOLDS HEARING ON SUBPRIME LENDING

On March 30, two subcommittees of the House Financial Services Committee held a joint hearing titled "Subprime Lending: Defining the Market and its Customers".

Industry testimony was delivered by representatives from Countrywide, New Century, the MBA and the ABA. The consumer lobby was headed up by ACORN and a bevy of university scholars. Be aware that even though HUD has withdrawn the RESPA Rule we are not out of the woods yet. Learn More.
