Florida Legislative Season Nears |
Much has been published in recent weeks concerning changes to the rules governing lobbying in Florida. This affects FAMB since the Board of Directors attends a Legislative Conference in Tallahassee every year. It is usual for FAMB to host a reception so that local chapters will have an informal venue for meeting with their Representatives and Senators.
The new rules are sure to affect the planning for this year's conference and reception. But one thing remains of key importance: local members contacting their legislators to let them know FAMB is coming.
The Legislature meets in regular session for 60 days each year starting on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March. This year, the session opens on March 7 and FAMB arrives in Tallahassee on March 13. If you're a member of the Central Florida Chapter and have a relationship with your Florida Senator or Representative, let Chapter President Al Lenentine know. Call Al at (407)622-2640 or email him.
Members enjoy many benefits with FAMB.
